"Peppur has been known to make
something out of nothing. She doesn't take
kindly to the word 'No'."
-Crescent Muhammad

Isn't that what producing is about?

Chambers learned by chance that by
combining her ambition with a specific goal
and by working with a team of like-minded
individuals, she had the power to make
dreams come true.

She learned this early on as a star  track
athlete and stellar student at Marquette
University. "When I arrived at Marquette, I knew
I wanted to achieve two things: to be the
Senior Speaker and to earn the McCahill
Award [awarded to the top graduating senior
for athletics, academics and leadership]."
Chambers received both.

Less than a year after arriving in LA in 2004,
Peppur wrote and created
 "Harlem's Night: A
Cabaret Story" which is a one-of-a-kind
theatrical experience. It is the story of a woman
looking for love in all the wrong places and is
based on a song Chambers wrote entitled,
"Hey Joe". Harlem's Night is performed by the
BROWN BETTIES (Keena Ferguson, Danielle
Lewis and Christy Gamble) and JOE along
with a wonderful cast of four others.

Chambers has successfully branded the
Brown Betties(tm) into a growing entity that
she hopes will develop into a lifestyle:

A Brown Bettie is a sultry, sassy,
sophisticated woman (
any woman) who is
confidently aware her personal journey has
made her so beautifully brilliantly she
deserves a spotligh
t.

Along with direct assistance from Kwanda
Milner, Creative Consultant, Peppur launched
the first Brown Betties offshoot in July 2009.
The "Be Your Own Brown Bettie" (BYOB)
Workshop is unique and includes burlesque
and empowerment exercises.

Outside of Brown Betties, Peppur is
co-producer with Sabah El-Amin; together
they've created
The S&P Experience which is
an entertainment production company w
ith a
mission to develop, create, nurture and
produce projects that positively develop the
careers of women in entertainment.

Their first project was Peppur's first full-length
play, "House Rules" which debuted in Los
Angeles October 2009 at The Lounge Theater
on Santa Monica Boulevard's theater row. O
ne
theater-goer exclaimed, "This play is as good
as any I've seen on Broadway!"
.

Peppur and Sabah also produced  "Slam or
Be Slammed!", a series of monologue slams
held at The Lounge Theater. They
also
debut
ed two productions of  "Three Women,
Three Way
s" a one-woman show expose'
which featured three up-and-coming talents in
March 2010.
I can. And I will. That is the deal.
